The Global Talent Visa Australia provides a streamlined visa pathway for highly skilled professionals to work and live permanently in Australia.

To be invited to apply you need to be highly skilled in one of the 10 target sectors and be able to attract a salary that meets the high-income threshold. You also need a recognized Australian-based organization or individual with a national reputation in the same field to nominate you as a global talent.

Whether you have an organization that is willing to vouch for your level of expertise is a practical matter and not a legal question.

The Global Talent Visa Australia is a policy-based program that is managed very differently from other visa programs. While the criteria are highly discretionary the Australian Government also provides more support and information to intending applicants and potential nominators than other visa programs.

Eligibility Requirement

To be eligible for the Global Talent Visa Program you must:

Prove they are internationally recognized with evidence of outstanding achievements

Provide evidence you would be an asset to Australia, in your area of expertise

Have no difficulty obtaining employment in Australia or becoming established in your field

Have a recognized organization or individual in Australia endorse them as global talent, in the same field as the applicant

applicants who apply for this visa should have the ability to attract a salary at or above the high- income threshold of AUD 153,600.

If you meet the program parameters you will be provided with a unique Global Talent identifier to lodge a Distinguished Talent visa application
